Client: South Tyneside Council

What we did

DA Group worked in association with an experienced regeneration consultant, Bryan Latty, on the development of this core property database. The system was originally designed as a public facing website, allowing clients to market their respective locations to the business community, investors and developers. However it works equally well as a private intranet-based system allowing secure access to property information for identified users. The system was previously used by One North East for their Business Accommodation Project between 2007 and 2011. More recently it has been used by South Tyneside Council and now goes by the name of LG Property Search.

How it works

LG Property Search is a commercial property database and website management service. The service is used by local authorities and local enterprise agencies and is designed to help clients to co-ordinate responses to inward investment enquiries from businesses and through the national UKTI network and to promote their respective geographic area as a location for indigenous businesses to grow and thrive. The system provides access to performance data relating to frequency of access to the system by registered users and a property analysis facility. Admin users can build up their own tables and cross-tabulations of data (relating to availability, new supply, take-up, average rents, enquiry analysis, number of web hits, void periods and vacancy rates) using a menu driven system.

Client: The Old Brewery Business Centre

What we did

DA Group worked with The Old Brewery Business Centre to develop a bespoke meeting room booking system. The business centre required a system which would clearly display the availability of meeting room facilities at a glance, would store specific details about each event, send automatic updates to relevant people and would be accessible by a number of users. The system can now be adapted to suit other client's requirements or we can create a bespoke system from scratch if preferred.

How it works

The system is very easy to use and has a simple interface. Room bookings can be added to the diary and can be marked as provisional or confirmed to prompt users to chase confirmation. Pre-stored menus, refreshment timings and seating arrangements aid the user to take bookings quickly and thoroughly. Attachment of menus and room plans to confirmation emails can be automatic to ensure that all clients receive the necessary information. There is a duplicate booking function for clients who regularly book, which again saves time and eliminates room for error. The system generates invoices based on the data stored. From a marketing prospective, the user can view individual client profiles and view previous booking details at a glance. They also have access to various reports which show details such as the number of bookings made in a specific time period, level of occupancy and contact data for future marketing.
